Roof Cleaning

Firstly, we would carry out an assessment to identify the roofing material that we will be cleaning, this allows us to select the appropriate cleaning method for the job. 

Whilst we are carrying out this assessment, we will also identify the type of growth (moss, algae, lichen) and the extent of the contamination. 

Secondly, we would consider protecting the surroundings which includes covering plants, landscaping and other vulnerable areas to prevent damage from cleaning solutions and debris. 

After protecting the surroundings, we would then make a start applying an appropriate cleaning solution, typically a mixture of water and a specialised algaecide or fungicide.

Once the treatment has had a sufficient dwell time on the surface, we would then use our DOFF steam cleaning system to clean away the dirt. 

We do offer a preventative treatment. Applying a preventative treatment such as fungicide or algaecide does help to inhibit or slow down future growth returning.
